Individuals

Healthy ageing isn’t about turning back the clock, it’s about building the strength, confidence, and independence to enjoy every stage of life. The choices you make today can shape how you move, think, connect, and feel in the years ahead.

Small steps matter

Around 75% of how we age is influenced by everyday habits. Staying active, learning new things, and staying socially connected are some of the strongest ways to support long term health and wellbeing.

This National Healthy Ageing Day, commit to taking one small step for your future health, whether that’s finding an exercise you enjoy, trying a new activity, or exploring products that make everyday life easier.

Adopt a new healthy habit

NowNext is a free app that supports you to build small, healthy habits that fit your daily routine and last a lifetime. Through progress tracking and gentle reminders, you can build your confidence and set yourself up for success, one habit at a time.

NowNext is built for real people and backed by evidence. No pressure, no quick fixes, just steady, meaningful change.

Yarn, move, do

Yarn, move, do is a reflective wellbeing booklet co-designed with Little Rocket, VAHS, VACCHO, and an Elder working group. It’s inspired by Aunty Elly Chatfield’s metaphor of Country regenerating after fire, reminding us that strength can grow again after challenge. This booklet offers simple prompts to help you pause, reflect, and check in with your health, strengths, and wellbeing across body, mind, and spirit.

Other ways to get involved

Healthy Ageing Day has greater impact when more people get involved. Encourage your workplace to take part with a simple reflection activity and promotional pack.
