AT Chat Project Lead - Part-time (0.6FTE)

Are you an emerging or established leader in the Disability sector with a passion for Assistive Technology (AT)?

Do you possess an expertise in stakeholder engagement, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across national disability organisations, peak bodies, and the AT sector? If so, this might just be the role for you!

As AT Chat Project Lead you will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, peer-led AT information and services. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and peak bodies to help drive AT Chat’s next phase of growth and impact.

The Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all key deliverables within the AT Chat Activity Work Plan.
  • Lead a small team to deliver peer support informed by evidence-based practice.
  • Report outcomes of grant deliverables to government departments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with national disability organisations, peak bodies, and AT experts.
  • Establish a new Consumer Reference Group to ensure AT resources remain peer-led and evidence informed.
  • Represent iLA and AT Chat at conferences, workshops, expos, and sector events.
  • Contribute to the improvement of AT Chat’s digital platforms, including CRM and website functionality.
  • Co design AT information products with the community, marketing, and communications teams.

About You

You’re a collaborative and values driven leader who thrives in a peer led, purpose driven environment. You bring a mix of strategic thinking, operational capability, and empathy.

You will ideally possess:

  • Experience delivering complex projects end to end, including planning, reporting, risk management, and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support small teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical AT content into plain language.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building capability.
  • Knowledge of AT pathways, funding mechanisms (e.g., NDIS), and barriers to access.
  • Lived experience of disability or significant experience working alongside people with disability in peer led models (highly regarded).
  • Degree or diploma in Disability, Community Services, Project/Leadership Management, Public Health, or relevant experience in the disability or community sectors.
