Want to shape better futures by driving behaviour change and bringing communities together to support healthy ageing across Australia?
At iLA, we’re on a mission to empower people to live and age well with LiveUp. As a national, evidence-based healthy ageing guide, LiveUp connects older Australians with trusted advice and practical tools. But we know real impact happens when these resources are championed by the people older Australians already know and trust.
We’re looking for a new Melbourne-based engagement professional to build strong relationships with health professionals, service providers, and community partners – helping bring healthy ageing to life and increasing the reach and impact of LiveUp across the country.
The project
LiveUp is an innovative, digital-first (but not digital only) healthy ageing guide, run by iLA and funded by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. It provides older Australians with trusted information, resources and advice on health and wellbeing, assistive technology, and community connections.
LiveUp is promoted nationally through a mix of digital and traditional channels. However, we know people are more likely to engage with resources recommended by trusted professionals like their GP, allied health professional, or service organisation. This is where you come in!
The role
You’ll join a national team of engagement professionals working with the National Engagement Lead to grow awareness, reach, and uptake of iLA’s digital initiatives, while also building capability in healthy ageing and reablement across Australia’s health and community sectors.
This role focuses on building strong stakeholder and community connections. Identifying opportunities and driving collaboration will be central to your success.
This is a primarily remote role, supported by Microsoft Teams, with additional responsibilities including:
- Representing iLA at events and forums
- Delivering presentations and workshops (online and in person)
- Collaborating with other organisations to promote and embed healthy ageing initiatives
- Identifying opportunities for partnerships with key organisations and stakeholders
- Working with the team to identify strategies to increase uptake of iLA’s digital initiatives
- Manage accurate records in the CRM system
The candidate
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- A genuine passion for health initiatives that support people to live and age well
- Qualifications and/or experience in health promotion, community development, social work or a related field
- Proven experience in community and stakeholder engagement
- Strong networking, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Experience delivering or participating in conferences and events
- Well-developed digital skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems
This role requires you to be comfortable working remotely, self-motivated, and accountable. You’ll also need to be flexible and willing to travel, including regular travel within your home state and occasional interstate travel.
What we offer
- Meaningful and rewarding work within a values-driven organisation
- Ongoing support, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
- Generous salary packaging, up to an additional $18,549 tax free FBT, with relocation packaging available for eligible employees
