Program Support Officer


The Role

We are seeking to engage two experienced Program Support Officers (PSO) to support business operations of our Regional Assessment Services (RAS) Team. These roles are pivotal to RAS operations and are responsible to deliver administrative and support services to a multidisciplinary team who, deliver assessment services to aged individuals seeking at access the Commonwealth Home Support Program.

The main duties of the PSO include: 

  • Delivering a high level of customer service when managing client enquiries and performing a variety of administrative and data entry functions
  • Communicating effectively with customers and others both verbally and in writing
  • Working as a key member of a team responsible for managing and maintaining data bases and team operations schedules
  • Performing general office duties and assigned tasks which support business operations.

One of the PSO roles will also be required to deliver assessment services to clients, during periods of RAS Assessor leave. To fulfill this element of the role candidates who are experienced RAS Assessors holding statement of attainment 2 (SOA2) accreditation or candidates willing to complete this training are encouraged to apply.

The Candidate

    The successful candidate will enjoy working with people and positively contributing to business outcomes, and have excellent verbal and written communication, office administration, data entry and time management skills. The candidate will be able to work effectively as a team member and autonomously as required, demonstrating initiative and an ability to deliver to deadlines.  Previous experience performing administrative tasks and providing customer service within the health or aged care sector would be advantageous.
